Washburn Observatory, built on Observatory Hill in 1878, is an integral part of the exhibition, Starry Transit: An Installation by Martha Glowacki. It is important to note that the facility's narrow doorways and steep, winding stairs with multiple landings render it inaccessible to some individuals.

For those unable to attend the show or gain access because of architectural constraints, the website page Walk Through the Exhibition provides virtual access to the exhibit.

In addition, Questions and Answers About the Exhibition and Curator's Essay as well as supporting text about bird migration and constellations enable understanding of the exhibition's themes and content.

Many instructional programs involving the exhibition—including the celebration of its opening—will be held in accessible facilities. Information about these events is available at Public Programs.
